covid-19 Updates

To ensure the continued health and wellbeing of our students, staff and community, we will be providing updates in relation to COVID-19 and how it will effect to families of our community.

The nature of this event is ever changing, we are working hard to inform those in our community of any changes as quickly as possible.

What steps are we taking?

We are going the extra mile to ensure our premises and amenities are cleaner than ever. We have been following the guidelines set out by the Victorian Department of Health to ensure we are being effective in fighting the spread. Extra caution is being taken by our cleaners to avoid any contamination.

Within the school we are keeping doors and windows open, to allow for fresh air to be flowing throughout the buildings. Washing of hands is a high priority during this time, students are being asked to wash their hands before and after eating, after being outside playing and before class starts. In addition to this we have hand sanitiser stations at the front office, and in each class. We have the privilege of having wonderful outdoor areas which we are utilising as often as possible, this assists with the social distancing recomendations given by the Health department. Within classes we are maintaining the social distancing recomendations by changing work station layouts and using designated floor spaces for students.

What steps can I take?

This transistion is one that has not been done within our school ever before. It will require some give and take from all involved with the school community. This includes, school head, admin, teachers, aides, grounds and faculty. But this will also heavily include the parents of our students. So what can you do as a parent, to assist the school and students in reaching their full potential? We have made a list of small tips on how we can maximise our outcome in this period.

We have also got a list of Q&A which has been put together to help with some of those common questions you might have. Just click the links below.
